1. What this covers

This policy covers NEXUS Premium payments — US$9.99 per month or US$79.99 per year — taken by [LEGAL BUSINESS OR LICENCE HOLDER NAME — REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH] through Stripe. It is part of the Terms of Service.

2. Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription.
  • A normal cancellation stops future renewals. Premium continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account returns to Free. No refund is issued for that remaining time because you keep the access.
  • Switching between monthly and yearly is a prorated adjustment, not a refund: you're credited for the unused time you already paid for.

3. When you can get a refund

  • First subscription purchase — a full refund when requested within 14 calendar days of your first Premium payment.
  • Annual renewal — may be refunded when requested within 7 calendar days of the renewal charge, provided there has not been substantial Premium use after the renewal.
  • Duplicate charges — will be refunded.
  • Unauthorised transactions — will be investigated and refunded where appropriate. Parents or guardians may contact support about a purchase made by a minor without permission.
  • Serious technical failure — a refund may be provided when a serious technical failure prevents use of the paid service and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period.

4. When we normally cannot refund

  • Monthly renewal charges after the initial purchase are normally non-refundable, except where required by law. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
  • Time already used on a plan you actively worked in, outside the windows above.
  • Accounts removed for breaking the Terms of Service.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output, which is inherently variable — see the AI section of the Terms.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights. Where the law where you live gives you a stronger right, that law applies.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email [BILLING SUPPORT EMAIL — REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH] from the email address on your NEXUS account (or, for a parent or guardian, tell us the account email).
  2. Include the date of the charge, the plan (monthly or yearly), the amount, and a one-line reason — for example "first purchase, within 14 days", "duplicate charge", or "my child paid without permission".
  3. We aim to reply within 3 business days. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm the account or the charge.
  4. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider and your bank — typically 5 to 10 business days after approval.

If we approve a refund, Premium access ends when the refund is processed and your account returns to Free. You can also reach us through the contact page.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank — it's faster and does not affect your rights. Premium access may be suspended while a chargeback is open.

7. Changes

When this policy changes we publish a new version number. The version you accepted at checkout is recorded against your account.
