Terms of Service

1. Who we are

The operator's legal name, licence details and registered address will be published here before launch; nothing on this page should be read as a statement of legal registration.

2. Age policy — who can use NEXUS

NEXUS is designed for high-school students.

• Anyone under 11 cannot create or use an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 11, we close it and delete its data.
• When you create an account you tell us your age band (11 to 17, or 18 or over). We record that band, the moment you accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and which versions you accepted. Accounts created before this policy are asked for their age band the next time they sign in.
• If you are under 18 you may use NEXUS, and we ask you to involve a parent, guardian or teacher in what you build and share.
• You must give truthful information about your age.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. You can delete your account at any time from your profile or by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL — REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH]. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, other builders, or our providers.

4. Free and Premium plans

• Free: 2 new projects per month and 30 AI messages per project each month.
• Premium: US$9.99 per month or US$79.99 per year, with unlimited projects and the full feature set.

5. Paying for Premium

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. A monthly plan renews every month and a yearly plan renews every year, charged to your saved payment method on the renewal date, until you cancel.
• Before you pay you must accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, and confirm that you are the cardholder or have the cardholder's permission. We record those confirmations with the version accepted.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply where you live. If we change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect on your plan.
• Parents and guardians who believe a minor made a purchase without permission can contact [BILLING SUPPORT EMAIL — REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH] — see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Cancelling

• You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription.
• A normal cancellation stops future renewals. Premium continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves back to Free automatically.
• Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect immediately and is prorated: you are credited for the time you already paid for.
• We may end Premium immediately after a payment dispute or a serious breach of these Terms; the Refund and Cancellation Policy says whether any refund applies.
• When you drop back to Free, projects above the free limit stay in your account but become read-only.

7. Refunds

Refund eligibility — including the 14-day window on a first subscription purchase and the 7-day window on annual renewals — is set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms or that policy limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

8. AI-generated output

NEXUS uses AI models to generate project ideas, step breakdowns, reflections and companion replies. AI output can be wrong, out of date, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. It is a starting point, not professional, legal, financial, safety or academic advice. You are responsible for checking anything you rely on and for anything you build with it. We do not guarantee that generated output is original or that it will not resemble output shown to another user.

9. Your content and the public gallery

You keep ownership of the projects, posts, comments and reflections you create. Anything you publish to the public gallery is visible to anyone on the internet, including your display name, avatar, post text and images, and can be liked and commented on. Do not publish personal information, school details, or anything you do not have the right to share. You give us permission to host and display your public content inside NEXUS so the gallery works. We may remove content that is harmful, illegal, harassing, sexual, or that infringes someone else's rights, and we may remove accounts that repeatedly post it.

10. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, don't try to reach another builder's private data, don't resell NEXUS output as your own product without building on it, and don't use NEXUS to create anything unlawful or harmful.

11. Service availability and changes

NEXUS is provided "as is". We may change, pause or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service available but we do not promise uninterrupted access.

12. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Governing law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with disputes handled by the competent courts there. This choice is a draft pending UAE legal review and may change; mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

When we change these Terms we publish a new version number. You will be asked to accept the new version the next time you use NEXUS, and we keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
